Kini, fan akan dibawa untuk melihat kondisi jauh sebelum petualangan tersebut. Amazon dikabarkan menghabiskan sekitar US$465 juta untuk menyiapkan musim pertama serial the Lord of the Rings. Di sisi lain, mereka akan menyiapkan lima musim dan membuat serial ini menjadi salah satu yang termahal sepanjang sejarah.
