Jakarta, CNN Indonesia -- Daftar nominasi Primetime Emmy Awards 2024 atau ke-76 rampung diumumkan oleh pihak the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) pada Rabu (17/7) tengah malam waktu Indonesia.
Dalam pengumuman tersebut, sejumlah judul serial drama saling bersaing baik antara pemain lama maupun baru. Pemain lama yang kembali masuk nominasi seperti Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, The Crown, dan The Morning Show.

Namun tahun ini juga banyak judul pendatang baru yang bersaing di Primetime Emmy Awards 2024, seperti Curb Your Enthusiasm, Palm Royale, Reservation Dogs, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, dan Shogun.
Dalam pernyataan ATAS yang diterima CNNIndonesia.com, Kamis (18/7), Shogun memimpin perolehan nominasi dengan 25 dan mencetak nominasi pertama kalinya untuk Hiroyuki Sanada dan Anna Sawai dalam kategori akting.
The Bear yang tahun lalu memboyong 10 piala, tahun ini mencetak rekor baru dalam sejarah kategori komedi di Emmy Awards, yakni sebagai judul dengan 23 nominasi dalam satu tahun.
Kemudian ada 36 artis yang menjadi penerima nominasi Emmy Awards untuk pertama kalinya, termasuk seperti Dakota Fanning (Ripley), Lily Gladstone (Under the Bridge), Ryan Gosling (Saturday Night Live), Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Only Murders in the Building), Paul Rudd (Only Murders in the Building dan Secrets of the Octopus), dan Hiroyuki Sanada (Shōgun).
Selena Gomez juga mendapatkan nominasi Emmy Awards pertamanya untuk kategori akting pada tahun ini, berkat penampilannya di Only Murders In The Building Season 3. Ia menyusul dua lawan mainnya yang jadi langganan nominasi, Steve Martin dan Martin Short.
Malam puncak Primetime Emmy Awards 2024 akan digelar pada 15 September 2024 malam waktu Los Angeles, atau pada Senin (16/9) pagi waktu Indonesia, dari the Peacock Theater Los Angeles. Acara ini juga akan ditayangkan langsung di ABC dan Hulu.
Sementara itu, penghargaan untuk aspek teknis dan kreativitas dalam Creative Arts Emmy Awards ke-76 akan digelar pada 7-8 September 2024.
