Nominasi ajang Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) 2020 resmi diumumkan pada Selasa (22/9) pagi waktu Amerika Serikat. Dalam daftar nominasi BBMA 2020, sejumlah nama seperti Taylor Swift hingga Billie Eilish bersaing di kategori utama.
Dalam pengumuman yang disiarkan melalui tayangan pagi Today Show, Kelly Clarkson juga diumumkan kembali menjadi pembawa acara ajang untuk ketiga kalinya.
Setelah sebelumnya direncanakan digelar di MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, ajang BBMA 2020 kali ini akan diselenggarakan secara virtual mengingat pandemi Covid-19 yang masih melanda Amerika Serikat.

Nominasi BBMA 2020 ini diambil berdasarkan sejumlah aspek, mulai dari interaksi fan, penjualan lagu digital, album dan musik, streaming, pemutaran radio, tur, dan media sosial.
Nominasi ini sendiri didasarkan pada periode kelayakan awal, yaitu 23 Maret 2019 hingga 14 Maret 2020. Per Selasa (22/9) malam, berikut daftar lengkap nominasi Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) 2020 yang acara puncaknya akan disiarkan pada 14 Oktober mendatang.
